A Little About Me

Hi! My name is Mac Hayter. I am computer science student graduate from the University of Ottawa. I have a passion to explore and learn new topics within my field of study and am always willing to take on a new challenge. I enjoy being involved in intermurals and with the Computer Science Student Association at the University of Ottawa. I have been lucky enough to have had the opprotunity to be involved with my schools student association over the last year as the VP Executive Affairs of the Computer Science Student Association. Throughout the year I participated in weekly meetings presenting any updates in regards to current responsibilities. Throughout these meetings I assisted in planning, organising and running various events with the association. I look forward to the next opprotunity I have and am excited to learn all that it has to teach me.

Lets members of Computer Science Student Association (CSSA) at the University of Ottawa with a platform to view updates and upcoming events throughout the year.

Smart Fridge Database.

PostgrSQL

Allows the user to keep track of the contents of their fridge, the database confirms the ingredients are in the fridge for a desired recipe and adjust the quantity according to the amount used when completing the recipe.

Internet Speed Tracker

Python

Performs a speed test on the current network and stores the download speed, upload speed and ping into a database for later comparison.

Using Twillio SMS the program sends out a text containing a random cat fact and gif.
